Jess grew up in Algona, IA, and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa. Upon graduation, she moved to Des Moines, IA and spent 10 years in business and individual income taxation at a global Top 10 CPA firm before joining Laird Law Firm and returning to her northern Iowa roots.

Jess provides income tax compliance and advisory services with a focus on helping individuals and business owners navigate complex tax matters with clarity and confidence. She works closely with clients to ensure accurate and timely tax filings while identifying strategic opportunities to improve tax efficiency and support long-term financial goals.

Jess is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Outside of the office, Jess enjoys spending time with her family, going boating on Clear Lake, and attending Iowa State Football games.
