Ben grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and moved to Iowa in 2018 to attend Iowa State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology, graduating cum laude. While at Iowa State, he served as philanthropy director for the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. After graduation, Ben worked as a chemist at Cargill in Eddyville, Iowa, before moving to Iowa City to pursue his law degree.
