Makayla grew up in Osage, Iowa and received her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Iowa. Makayla recently graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. During her time in law school, she served as the Senior Symposium Editor of the Journal of Corporation Law and as a teaching assistant for the Tippie College of Business.

Outside the office, Makayla enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
