A Mason City native, Matt serves the firm as a transactional attorney, with a focus on real estate, estate planning, probate, and corporate law. When it comes to legal matters, Matt is dedicated to finding the best solutions for the needs of his clients, which stems from genuine care and concern for each client’s situation.

Matt’s passion for law was ignited at a young age after accompanying his grandfather to the Pocahontas County courthouse. His grandmother had recently passed and they were meeting with attorneys in the law library to have her farmland valued. Matt was impressed by the attorneys and how much they helped his grandfather. From that moment on, he knew he wanted to be an attorney, too.

Matt is a member of the Cerro Gordo County Bar Association as well as the Iowa State Bar Association. In addition to his work, Matt is active in his faith and serves as a Permanent Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church, assigned to both Epiphany Parish in Mason City and Sacred Heart Parish in Manly. He is also a member of the One Vision Foundation Board of Directors and the Finance Committee for the Catholic Foundation for the Archdiocese of Dubuque.

Matt enjoys traveling with his family, golfing, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
